has 8 large named

are from the top of the beat the,
Birch Tree ,Run ,Cairn, Above Bay,
The Bay,
Gauge, Holm Pool, Lower Holm Pool.

late June and the 15th
October, the
facilities at Ness-side are
excellent with a modern fully
equipped fishing hut which can cater
for all your
needs, and a full time
ghillie
is always at hand.
The River
Ness is a real fly fishers river, at
first sight it can seem a very wide
river but the Ness in general is a
fairly fast but shallow river for
its size, and
the wading is fairly good in most
places ,but the wearing of a life
aid is recommended at all
times, in
high
water conditions some spinning can
be allowed in the afternoons but fly
fishing is preferred most of the
time, over the last few years
Ness-side has seen fish numbers
slowly increasing with 2005 catch of
267 salmon and grilse the best
season for nearly 20 years.
With the
fishings at Ness-side guests
can stay either at a lovely 4
bed roomed
cottage on the
estate, which was fully
modernised in 1999 and is set only
200 yards away from the
river, or
stay at the 4 star
Drumossie
Hotel
a short drive away,
